Moon Beach

In 1975,
the resorts on
Okinawa spread from here.

A crescent-shaped white sands beach bathed in moonlight,
coincidentally discovered by an American pilot on a night flight.
It is believed to have received the name Moon Beach because of its breathtaking beauty.
After that, Hotel Moon Beach was established amidst these dunes at 1975.
The history of Okinawa Beach Resort begins from there.

History

Tsukinohama Beach opened in 1957,
and The Moon Beach (formerly known as the Hotel Moon Beach) was inaugurated in 1975.

1957 - 1974

The fairy tale begins

on the moonlit sands

In 1957, the story of Tsukinohama Beach began.
The beautiful crescent-shaped beach was crowded with many bathers.

1975 - 1989

Establishment of the
Hotel Moon Beach

In 1975, Hotel Moon Beach was inaugurated as the first full-scale resort on Okinawa. Various music events were held and activities such as marine sports were introduced. The Hotel Moon Beach took the lead in livening up Okinawa Beach Resort.

Music event scene — Various music events were held. The music camp that started around this time was held all the way up to 1995. Guest rooms were renovated and a grand piano was installed for nurturing the talented young musicians.

Female staff wearing muumuu — There was also a period when ladies among the staff wore uniforms in Hawaiian style.

A group hotel opened in 2010. Following, lounges and galleries were opening one after another, evolving into spaces for creation of even more special moments.
